Brand Story
Kentucky Horsewear was founded in 2011 by Thomas Tuytens. The initial idea for innovative horse rugs emerged in 2006 while Thomas was working in stables in Belgium. After exploring various options, he decided to focus on leg protection — a small, seasonless product with high added value in the equestrian world — leading to a partnership with Kentucky Reitmode and the launch of the brand that would bear the name.
By 2011, Kentucky Horsewear quickly became a prominent brand with six key products. The company experienced significant growth, with a pivotal moment coming when Claudia Weber, a professional groom for Olympic medallists, joined the team in late 2016 and spearheaded product development, including the successful Dogwear Collection and Grooming Deluxe Collection. The brand's products are now sold in over 60 countries.
